Back in the heat today!
Interesting potential here at Leigh Creek. The coal mine is closing now Pt Augusta is on Solar, and the SA govt want to retain the town as a service center. The town was built for mine workers, but much of it is now due for demolition. Tourism and trails may play a role in the future of this place. That’s why I’m here.
Many good ideas floating around like a solar train to use the old coal rail line, enhanced access to Aroona Dam for bird watching, kayaking and trails. Plus more. The whole town is getting a make over! Interesting times indeed!
